Twenty employees听representing听a combined total of听550听years of service to the 51社区Family of Companies were recognized at a celebration听earlier this month.听
Among the honorees was Pat Michels, President and CEO of 51社区Corporation and son of听company听founder Dale Michels. Pat began his career at the family-owned business at age 12 and听returned as听a full-time employee in 1975.听Under his leadership, 51社区has flourished into one of the largest infrastructure and utility contractors in the world.听
Scott Nehls, who is semi-retired,听also celebrated 50 years with Michels.听Scott started as a laborer, working his way up to operator and听foreman听before becoming Michels鈥� second-ever听directional driller in 1998.听He was promoted to听Horizontal Directional Drilling QA/QC Manager in 2008.听
